Launched from the continuing research of Alaska College bound students and their parents, this site is being designed to keep an ongoing record of our research for affordable student loans. We are also investing time in learning about available college scholarships, government and private sector grants and special savings account information like that from the Alaska permanent fund dividend system, Alaska PFD, that is available to everyone to assist in paying for a college education for our children. You are welcome to join in on any or all topics and we are including a response system for adding your experience and knowledge to this site.

The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education, or the ACPE student loans, offer these core services to support Alaskans' access to the benefits of higher education:

• Financial aid for postsecondary education and training.
• Outreach and early awareness programs.
• Promotion of postsecondary education participation in Alaska.
• Education consumer protection through institutional authorization and consumer complaint investigation.

Notice for All Alaska Students, you can fill out and apply online for your 2007 Alaska PFD Application with options for electronic signatures provided you meet the following:

• You must have been paid a 2006 PFD;
• You must be 18 years of age or older;
• You must have a valid Alaska Driver's license or ID; AND
• You must have an email account.

All other online applications will need to fill out the printed signature option which is your written certification of the information you provided online.

• Everyone can apply online using this option; and
• You must submit a printed signature page after you complete your PFD application. This signature page is your certification that the information you submit in your online application is true and correct.
